Why Warmer Roofs Are Superior To Conservatory Roofs

At Conwy Valley Windows we are proud to provide our customers with many different improvement options for their homes, one of these is Warmer roofs which we will explain in more detail in the post.

Is your conservatory too hot in the summer months but freezing cold in the winter? This is the problem many homes are faced with, meaning they can only use their conservatory through certain months of the year or are faced with extortionate heating bills trying to keep their conservatory at a comfortable temperature.

Warmer roofs are designed to ensure your home is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, by conserving heat through using excellent thermal performance and unique rood structures. Designed to be used on new sunroom extensions or as a replacement to your existing conservatory roof.

The roof structures consist of 125mm multi-foil honeycomb insulation combined with an additional 43mm insulated plasterboard. The high-performance insulation will help keep your conservatory cool during the summer and retain heat during the cold winter months providing you with a comfortable room all year round whilst saving you money on your heating bills.

Unlike regular cold roofs, warmer roofs do not heat up and cool down depending on the weather conditions, therefore work as a more effective form of insulation, which is a great benefit in the times we are living in with the cost-of-living crisis, saving your heating bills. The structure of warmer roofs allows moisture to escape, preventing damp and the possibility of rotting.

With many conservatories in British homes going unused during the winter months due to how cold they get, investing in a warmer roof provides a new lease of live to these rooms and allows homeowners to make the most of their space. The replacement conservatory roofs help to make the space cosy in the winter and comfortable and cool in the summer, creating an ideal living space all year round.

Warmer roofs are higher in price to install, however are more cost efficient so customers are guaranteed to be making a great investment for their home when choosing a warmer roof over a regular conservatory.

Installation is quick and efficient, with minimal disruption to both home and garden and our friendly team are always happy to answer any questions.

Sustainability is important to us at Conwy Valley Windows; therefore, we use environmentally friendly materials sourced from responsible companies.

A highly insulated, lightweight, timber solution

Timber has been used as a construction material for thousands of years, but its sustainability has seen its popularity grow, especially in the roofing industry. Timber is a far more effective insulator than aluminium due to tiny air pockets that minimise the heat conducting properties. Timber is a natural insulator. As a result, timber frame buildings are more thermally efficient and require less energy, making them cheaper, easier (and greener) to heat.

All of our products are bespoke and individually tailored to suit your home. Therefore, to provide an accurate quote an appointment is required with one of our local consultants who will discuss your exact product requirements and take the necessary measurements. Our consultants all carry samples to demonstrate our wide range of styles and designs.
